Preparation

START PORK

  • Massage rice package to break up grains. Break broccoli florets into smaller pieces if needed. 

  • Heat a large drizzle of oil in a large, preferrably nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Add pork and season with salt and pepper. Cook, breaking up meat into pieces, until pork begins to lightly brown, 3 minutes (pork will finish cooking in the next step).

COOK BROCCOLI & RICE

  • Add another drizzle of oil, broccoli, and rice to pan with pork and season with a big pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Add 1/4 cup water and cover pan. Cook, covered and undisturbed, until broccoli is tender and rice is warmed through, 3-4 minutes.

SERVE

  • Remove pan from heat. Add ginger, garlic, and scallion paste to pan and stir to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide between bowls.
