The classic all-American burger meets taco night! These juicy burger tacos are packed with seasoned beef, melty cheese and crisp lettuce, all drizzled with creamy, tangy special sauce and topped with crunchy pickles. Prep

  • Cut tomato into 1/4-inch pieces. 
  • Thinly slice lettuce.
  • Drain pickle juice into a small bowl. Set aside .
  • Roughly chop pickles. 
  • Peel, then cut onion into 1/4-inch pieces.

Cook beef

  • In a large non-stick pan, heat 1/2 tbsp (1 tbsp) oil over medium-high. When the pan is hot, add beef and onions. Cook for 3-5 min, breaking up beef into smaller pieces, until no pink remains.**
  • Carefully drain and discard excess fat. Add Applewood Smoke Spice and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 1 min, stirring often, until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.

Warm Tortillas

  • Meanwhile, wrap tortillas in foil, then place in the top of the oven for 4-5 min until warm. (TIP: You can skip this step if you don't want to warm the tortillas.)

Make burger sauce

  • To the small bowl with pickle juice, add ketchup, mayo and dijon. Season with salt and pepper, then stir to combine.

Finish and Serve

  • Divide tortillas between plates. Top with beef mixture, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and crispy shallots.
  • Drizzle burger sauce over top.
