with Creamy Slaw & Sesame Fries
We're revamping burger night by giving juicy pork patties a teriyaki glaze, and sprinkling potato fries with sesame seeds to jazz up their flavour. A rainbow slaw with coconut sweet chilli mayo takes the salad portion of the meal to new heights too. *The current labour shortages have impacted availability of ingredients across the entire food supply chain. As such, what you receive may be slightly different to what’s pictured. Don’t worry, your recipe will be just as delicious!*

Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced. Cut potato into fries, then place on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with mixed sesame seeds and season with salt. Toss to coat, spread out evenly, then bake until tender, 20-25 minutes. Little cooks: Kids can help sprinkle over the seasoning and tossing the fries.
While the fries are baking, grate carrot. Finely chop garlic. In a large bowl, combine pork mince, garlic, fine breadcrumbs, sweet soy seasoning and the egg. Using damp hands, shape the pork mixture into evenly sized patties slightly larger than your burger buns (1 patty per person). Little cooks: Join the fun by helping combine the ingredients and shaping the mixture into patties!
When the fries have 10 minutes cook time remaining, heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Cook pork patties until just cooked through, 5-6 minutes on each side. Remove pan from heat, then add teriyaki sauce to coat. TIP: Cook in batches if your pan is getting crowded.
While the patties are cooking, combine mayonnaise and the soy sauce in a medium bowl. Finely chop herbs. Add shredded cabbage mix, carrot and herbs to the soy mayo. Toss to combine.
Bake burger buns directly on a wire oven rack until heated through, 3 minutes.
Slice burger buns in half, then top with teriyaki-glazed pork patty and some creamy slaw. Serve with sesame fries and any remaining slaw. Little cooks: Take the lead and help build the burgers!
