  • If needed, cut or break broccoli florets into bite size pieces. 

    In a small bowl, whisk to combine soy saucecornstarch, and 1/4 cup water.

COOK CHICKEN & BROCCOLI

  • Open and drain diced dark meat chicken. Heat a large drizzle of oil in a large, preferrably nonstick pan, over medium-high heat. Add chicken to hot oil and spread out in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Place broccoli on top of chicken in a single layer. Cover and cook, undisturbed, until chicken begins to brown, 2-3 minutes. 

    Stir to combine chicken and broccoli. Cover and cook until chicken is fully cooked and broccoli is tender, 3-4 minutes.  

    While chicken and broccoli cook, gently squeeze grain blend package to separate rice. Tear 2 inches to vent pouch. Heat on high for 90 seconds. (Microwave times may vary. Be careful when handling and opening the pouch.)

SERVE

  • Reduce heat to medium. Whisk soy sauce and cornstarch mixture again, and slowly add to pan with chicken and broccoli. Stir to combine (TIP: Sauce will thicken and coat the chicken and broccoli quickly!). Season with chiil flakes to taste (we added 1/4 tsp) and stir. 

    Remove pan from heat. Add orange sauce and stir to evenly coat. 

    Divide grain blend between bowls and top with orange chicken and broccoli and any remaining sauce in pan. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve with any remaining chili flakes to taste.
